Melon

In Japan, melons originally introduced from Europe and the United States around 100 years ago have been continuously improved through selective breeding.

Over the years, many prestigious melon brands have emerged through intense competition and a strong commitment to quality. We carefully select and offer only those brands that are dedicated to producing melons of the highest possible standard.

<Brand Introduction>

・Yubari Melon
Yubari Melon is one of Japan’s most famous premium melon brands, grown in Yubari City, Hokkaido.
Its vivid orange flesh contains very little fiber and is exceptionally soft and juicy. It is also known for its rich aroma and deep yet refined sweetness.
The minimum sugar-content standard for Yubari Melons is 10° Brix, while the highest “Tokushu” grade requires a sugar content of at least 13° Brix.

・Raiden Melon
Raiden Melon is a premium brand produced by JA Kyowa, one of Hokkaido’s leading melon-producing regions. The brand consists of four varieties of red-fleshed melon and one variety of green-fleshed melon.
Today, measuring sugar content with optical sensors is common practice, but JA Kyowa was the first producer in Japan to introduce this technology.
Raiden Melons are characterized by their rich aroma, smooth flesh, abundant juice, and meltingly sweet flavor.

・Emerald Melon
Emerald Melon is a premium green-fleshed melon produced in Yasu, Konan City, Kochi Prefecture, and is recognized for its exceptionally high quality.
Growers carefully control the amount of water supplied to the plants, which is one of the most important factors in melon cultivation.
In addition, each plant is limited to producing only one melon, allowing nutrients to be concentrated into a single fruit. As a result, Emerald Melons achieve an average sugar content of more than 14.5° Brix.
